‘Amazing Apples!’ at Villa Park Library July 20
The Villa Park Public Library will hold “Amazing Apples!” on Friday, July 19, from 2:30-3 p.m. Children ages 6-9 can learn many fun facts about apples and see how pollination plays a major role in the life cycle of an apple. This program will be held off-site at the Depot at Cortesi Park (320 E. Kenilworth Ave.) in Villa Park and is presented by the DuPage County Farm Bureau. Registration is required. Lombard Senior Men’s Club to meet July 16
The Senior Men’s Club will meet July 16 at 1 p.m. in the Fireside Room of the Lombard Bible Church (not affiliated) 111 S. Park Ave. (south side entrance), Lombard. Grades 1-4. “Galaxy Silhouettes: An Outer Space Painting Workshop” Wednesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. Join the library for this modern twist on a classic silhouette portrait. Let your imagination take over and design a galaxy pattern using watercolor pencils under artist Christine Thornton’s guidance. Beginners welcome.
