Crafty Creations at Villa Park Library
Young children and their adults can join the Villa Park Public Library and the Friends of the Villa Park Library at the weekly Kiwanis Club Concerts this summer to make a fun craft. Crafty Creations @ the Gazebo will be held on Wednesdays, July 3 to July 31 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Ruggard Gazebo, located near Ardmore Ave. and the Prairie Path in Villa Park. Driver services offices closed for July 4
Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White announced that all Secretary of State offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. All Secretary of State offices and facilities will be open for business on Friday, July 5. Individuals can visit the Secretary of State’s website, www.cyberdriveillinois.com, to locate the nearest Driver Services facility and the hours of operation. In addition, drivers can change an address, register to become an organ and tissue donor or renew license plate stickers online.

Senior Men’s Club to meet July 2
The Senior Men’s Club will meet July 2 at 1 p.m. in the Fireside Room of the Lombard Bible Church (not affiliated) 111 S. Park Ave. (south side entrance), Lombard. Every Thursday, Spay Illinois’ Pet Well Clinic, located at 2765 Maple Ave., Lisle, offers appointments for low cost wellness care including pet vaccinations, microchips, heartworm testing, pre-operative bloodwork, dental consultations, comprehensive exams and so much more. Low-cost services are available to everyone and offer even further discounts for families receiving LINK/SSDI/Illinois Medical Card and veterans, too. Teen Kickball Night in York Center July 17
One night only, participants will play each other in a fun game of kickball at Villa Roosevelt Field. Participants will cover rules and have staff to make sure games and teams are fair. ‘Friends Dine Out’ at Villa Park Library
The Friends of the Villa Park Library will hold their next Dine-Out fundraiser on Monday, July 1, from 2-8 p.m. at IDOF-I Dream of Falafel (17W635 Roosevelt Rd.) in Oakbrook Terrace. If customers bring in a printed flyer or show the flier to the cashier on their smartphones, IDOF will give 15 percent of the proceeds from this date and time to the Friends. Customers may also opt to get their food delivered through Seamless.com or Grubhub.com by mentioning the fundraiser in their order. Money received from this Dine-Out will help the Friends support various programs and services at the Villa Park Public Library.
