William J. Gruss, age 89, of Lombard, passed away April 14, 2019.

PATRICIA ANN O’NEIL
Patricia Ann O’Neil, age 87, of West Chicago. Loving mother to James (Kelli) Buchanan, Mark (Wendy) Buchanan, Bill (Laurie) Kapsalis, Tom Hardesty and Tammy Hardesty; Loving grandmother to Rebecca Buchanan, Sarah Buchanan, Justin McMillen, Gavin McMillen, Eric Charf, Megan Kapsalis, Alexandria Kapsalis, Nicole Kapsalis, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; dear sister of Rose Zank and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Patricia grew up in Canton, Illinois, and spent her early years on her grandparents’ Petersen farm. Her father, Edward, worked for the International Harvester Company which led to their moving to Galesburg, Decatur, Rock Island and finally Melrose Park, where she graduated from Proviso Township high school. After high school she graduated from the MacCormac School of Commerce and raised her family in Lombard. She ended her professional career at Glidden Paints as a wallpaper coordinator.
She had an enormous love for her children (especially the third child), took pleasure in playing card games, enjoyed gardening, loved animals (her favorite being lady bugs) and bird watching. She was an early social justice warrior by writing letters (and then emails) to companies, politicians, newspapers, television and radio stations to point out the injustice in the world.
She will not only be missed by her family, but by everyone who came to know her.

Evelyn A. Pasek 99, of Villa Park, passed away on April 12, 2019.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 17, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park.
