Pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage were the main items on the menu as the Willowbrook High School band recently held its second annual pancake breakfast fundraiser recently at the Villa Park VFW. The band had its inaugural fundraiser last year (also held at the VFW) to raise money for the marching band to go to Disney World during spring break. No trips are planned for this year, but band director John Clemons said the turnout this time around was “pretty solid.” Junior Dominique Crowe (wearing a pink apron) and freshman Daniela Trimper are shown here making pancakes, while senior Bahgat Hassan cooked scrambled eggs. Clemons (left) also is shown with two Willowbrook band parents who attended the breakfast. Funds raised at the breakfast will go directly towards instruments, repairs, purchasing music and future travel.
