Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.
Addison
Dec. 24
Hisatomi Kitanaka, 37, of Rolling Meadows, was charged with DUI, speeding and improper lane usage near Lake and Lincoln at around 2:19 a.m.
A 34-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence in the 600 block of Meadows Blvd. at around 6:15 p.m. Police said the suspect threw the victim’s phone against a wall and pulled the victim by the hair.
Police said officers responded to the Cook County Jail at around 9:27 a.m. and transported a 29-year-old Chicago man to the Addison Police Department where he was processed for an original warrant for domestic battery. The suspect allegedly tackled the victim to the ground.
Dec. 23
Lucia Alliaj, 49, of Schaumburg, was charged with DUI, transportation of open alcohol by the driver, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and failure to carry driver’s license on person while operating a vehicle near Lake and Greenbriar at around 1:40 a.m.
Dec. 22
Divyang M. Patel, 25, of Elk Grove Village, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident near Swift and Army Trail at around 7:56 p.m.
Dec. 21
Peter S. Krentz, 44, of Addison, was charged with battery and criminal damage to property in the 1500 block of W. Lake at around 10:09 a.m. Police said that while investigating a fight in progress, Krentz struck the victim with his shoulder and broke the victim’s glasses.
Dec. 19
Michael R. Luckow, 43, of Addison, was charged with DUI and no insurance subsequent to investigating a traffic accident in the 400 block of W. Lake at around 7:58 p.m.
Police said William E. Shuster, 45, of Naperville, was found to have an active warrant out of the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office subsequent to a traffic stop near Lake and Rohlwing at around 8:12 a.m. He was additionally charged with speeding.
Villa Park
Dec. 22
Natisha A. Johnson, 29, of Berkeley, was charged with retail theft at a store at around 3:51 p.m.
Dec. 20
Theft was reported at a store at around 9:55 p.m. Police said and unknown male suspect stole a wallet which was inadvertently left on the jewelry counter unattended.
Dec. 19
Iftikhar I. Chohan, 32, of Itasca, was issued a local adjunction for possession of cannabis near North and Second at around 11:33 p.m.
Criminal damage was reported in the 900 block of N. Villa at around 2:13 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect smashed the small window on the passenger side of the vehicle.
Dec. 18-Dec. 19
Criminal damage was reported in the 600 block of S. Summit. Police said an unknown suspect smashed the driver’s side window and the windshield of a vehicle parked on the roadway.
Dec. 18
Robert E. Cunneen, 54, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at a store between 3:05 and 3:18 a.m.
Montavais L. Thomas, 36, of Chicago, was charged with two counts of retail theft, burglary and theft by emergency exit at a store at around 12:48 a.m.
Theft was reported at a fitness center. Police said an unknown suspect stole a backpack purse that was inadvertently left unattended near a treadmill sometime between 8 and 9:30 p.m.
Criminal damage was reported in the 900 block of W. North at around 5:27 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect threw a brick through the rear window of a parked vehicle.
Dec. 16
A 40-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 200 block of N. Third at around 6:40 p.m.
Dec. 13
Two female juveniles from Villa Park were charged with disorderly conduct-fighting at Willowbrook High School at around 7:45 a.m.
