Harriet Van De Velde, nee Van Leuven, formerly of Villa Park and Huntley, Ill., passed away recently at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Valere “Babe” for 68 years, loving mother of Susan (Bill) Coke, Kathy (Bob) Carlson, Jim (Jane), Donna (Don) Tauchen, Bob (Diane), Mary (Steve) Unseth, Jane (John) Miller, dear grandmother of 25, great grandmother of 22. Fond sister of Mary (late Albert) Vande Velde, Margaret (James) Bruha and the late Henry (late Marian) Van Leuven. Aunt and great aunt of many. Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at St. Alexander Church, 300 S. Cornell, Villa Park. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to American Lung Association at lung.org.
