Friday July 27 —
Superior Ambulance presents the Elmhurst Cycling Classic
The Sixth Annual Elmhurst Cycling Classic takes place throughout the Elmhurst College and Wilder Park neighborhoods. Don’t miss the opportunity to ride in the Community Ride starting at 6:20 p.m., right before the professional women’s race and professional men’s race. Day-of registration is $5 per rider.

Beginning at 1 p.m., it is Family Day at the Elmhurst Art Museum. Resident families, friends and neighbors are invited to participate in hands-on art activities inspired by our current exhibitions. Sunday, July 29
At 2 p.m., join Elmhurst Art Museum for a walking tour with architect Robert Bunda who will explore modern architecture in Elmhurst including the Henderson House by Frank Lloyd Wright and McCormick House by Mies van der Rohe. The tour departs from the Elmhurst Art Museum, 150 S. Cottage Hill Ave. in Wilder Park. Tickets are $15/members, $20/non-members and can be purchased at the museum or online at elmhurstartmuseum.org.

Thursday-Sunday Aug. 2-5
The AAUW will hold its annual Used Book Sale at Lincoln Elementary School. The hours are as follows: • Thursday, 6-9 p.m. — Preview Sale – $10 Admission Fee;
• Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Sunday, 12 noon – 3 p.m. – $10 Bag Sale

Saturday, August 4

Thursday, August 9
From 6:30-8:30 p.m., the Elmhurst Heritage Foundation invites residents for a skate back in time to enjoy a night for all ages at the Lombard Roller Rink, 2011 W. 22nd St. NOTE: Waivers are required of all skaters and must be signed before participation. View rink rules at lombardrollerrink.com. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult and children 14-18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Skate at your own risk. Monday, Aug. 13
From 5-7 p.m., the City is hosting an open house event at Elmhurst City Hall to demonstrate the use of the WaterSmart Portal and how residents can track their water usage. Free and open to the public. Info: elmhurst.org/watersmart.

Friday, Aug. 17
The Elmhurst Children’s As-sistance Foundation (ECAF) will host its 23rd annual Golf Outing at White Pines Golf Course, 500 W. Jefferson, Bensenville. This year ECAF will be honoring Mike La Spisa as Friend of the Children for 2018. Registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m., fol-lowed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. An open bar cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m.; dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The full golf package is $175 per person or $700 for a foursome and includes lunch golf, cart, putting contest, dinner and open bar. Tickets for dinner and open bar only are $60 per person or $480 for a table of eight. To register, visit ecaf4kids.org.

Monday, Aug. 27

• Widows or Widowers (WOW) meet every third Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 537 S. York Road. WOW lends support and provides social activities for those who have lost a spouse.
