The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst will host a Candidate Forum on Sunday, Jan. 21 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York St.
Candidates for the March 20, 2018 General Primary have been invited to participate, if their race is contested. Candidates who are unopposed have not been invited. These candidates will speak about their qualifications and vision for their respective positions. After answering some League questions, the candidates will take questions submitted in writing from those in attendance.
This program is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend the entire event or only the races that are of interest. An estimate of each group’s time frame follows:
1-2 p.m. — Fifth Congressional District – Democratic
2:15-3 p.m. — DuPage County Sheriff – Republican
3:15-4 p.m. – 47th District State House
4:15-5:30 p.m. — DuPage County Board District 1 (Republican) and District 2 (Democratic)
