Vincent T. Zaccardi, of Belvidere, formerly of Villa Park, and Oak Park, passed away recently..Long Time partner of Dorothy A. Pierce, Father of James (Rachel) Zaccardi, Vince “Chip” (De Anna) Zaccardi, and Elaina (Erik) Rovansek.
Grandfather to Jameson, 18, Nathan, 16, Mason, 16, Evan, 13, Bennett, 12, Aidan , 9, and Reagan Zaccardi, 8, along with Allyson “Ally”, 8 and Michael, 5, Rovansek. Brother of Marylu (late Richard) Zuhn, Uncle to Tina (Joe) Russo, and cousin to many. Known to many friends as “Zac” or “Vinny”, Vince was a 27-year veteran of the Villa Park Fire Department working as a Paramedic/Firefighter. In his retirement he enjoyed going to the woods and spending time at his log cabin, socializing with his many neighbors and friends, and traveling the country. He was always willing to make a road trip to see a friend or relative and may have put millions of miles on his cars over the years. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 from 3 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S. Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park. Family and friends to meet Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at St. Pius X Church, Lombard for 10 a.m. Mass.Inurnment at Queen of Heaven. For info 630-832-4161
