For the past three years Nicholas Karavolos, owner of Ignite Fitness located at 263 N. York St. in Elmhurst, has hosted the Marc P. Frontier Memorial Fitness Battle in honor of Marc P. Frontier, a member of the community who passed away suddenly in September of 2015.
The fitness competition will take place on October 14 from 8:30a.m. to 3p.m. Ignite will also be hosting a kid-friendly
BBQ fundraiser and after-party from 11a.m.-5p.m. to honor Marc and benefit children in need.
The proceeds of this year’s event will benefit the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation (ECAF), a local charity that provides assistance to families who have a connection to, or reside in Elmhurst, where a child’s life is impacted by a serious medical or disabling condition.
