Knights host first round playoff game this week.

The IC Catholic Prep football team capped an undefeated conference season with a 62-7 Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division victory against Fenton in Elmhurst.
The win gave the Knights the Blue Division title outright and improved their overall record to 8-1.
IC Catholic Prep will open defense of its Class 3A state championship either Friday or Saturday at home against the Watseka co-op team, which sports a 7-2 record. IC Catholic Prep is the No. 5 seed on the top half of the Class 3A bracket, while Watseka is the No. 12 seed.
In the win against Fenton, quarterback CJ Ryan completed 12 of 15 passes for 277 yards and threw for five touchdowns.
The Knights also racked up 248 yards on the ground on only 26 carries (9.5 yards per rush).
Sophomore Tommy Ryan ran four times for 102 yards and two touchdowns. He had a long run of 69 yards. Freshman Kyle Franklin had eight carries for 54 yards and a touchdown, while Lazerick Eatman ran six times for 39 yards.
Junior Khalil Saunders caught five passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Eatman caught a 27-yard touchdown pass.
On defense, sophomore Kevin Cooke had 10 tackles, while junior Kemon Reese had eight tackles. Jacob Lytton and Larry Chavez each had five tackles, while Michael Johnson had four tackles.
Chavez, a sophomore, and Kevin Akins, also a sophomore, each had a quarterback sack, while Andrew Falduto, Lytton and Reese each had an interception. Reese returned his pick 20 yards for a touchdown.
Sophomore Corties Draper, Sean Hipskind and Saunders each had a fumble recovery, while Eatman, Jack Ryan and Saunders each had a pass deflection.
IC Catholic Prep finished the regular season scoring 460 points in nine games while allowing only 91. The next highest scoring team in the MSC Blue was Elgin St. Edward at 311 points.
