York football loses to Oak Park-River Forest.

Another game and another 50-point outburst by the IC Catholic Prep football team.
This time, the Knights were 59-7 winners on the road in West Chicago against Wheaton Academy in a Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division Saturday matinee game.
The win moved IC Catholic Prep to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in MSC Blue play. The Knights, the defending Class 3A state champions, now will officially be able to defend that crown after having earned an automatic playoff bid with its sixth victory of the season.
In the game against Wheaton Academy, quarterback CJ West completed nine passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions.
Freshman Kyle Franklin continued his strong play. He ran 14 times for 214 yards and three touchdowns. He had a long run of 62 yards. Senior Lazerick Eatman had nine carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. The Knights ran for 310 yards on only 30 carries, averaging more than a first down per carry (10.3 yards).
Junior Jacob Lytton caught three passes for 58 yards and a score. Junior Sean Hipskind caught one pass for 54 yards and a touchdown, while junior Khali Saunders caught a nine-yard scoring strike.
On defense, the Knights needed to make only 44 tackles in the game, led by sophomore Kevin Cooke and junior Kemon Reese who each had seven. Sophomore Kevin Akins had five tackles. Junior Declan Barney, Reese and Akins each had one quarterback sack. Those three sacks totaled 19 yards in losses.
The Knights also were in top form on the takeaway front, recovering three fumbles. Saunders, Cooke and Barney each had a fumble recovery. Reese had a forced fumble, while sophomore Koby Reed had a pass deflection.
Eatman had a kickoff return for 30 yards. Khalil Saunders had a two-point rushing conversion.
On the season, Franklin is leading the Knights with 705 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, while Eatman has 663 rushing yards and 10 scores. The Knights have run for 2,131 yards on 224 carries through seven games and are averaging 9.5 yards per carry.
Hipskind is tops on the team in touchdown catches with six. Khali Sanders has four, while West and Eatman have three each.
IC Catholic Prep returns to action Friday at home against Glenbard South in a MSC Blue game. The Knights and Raiders both are tied at 3-0 atop the conference standings.
York football
The York football team dropped a 30-7 West Suburban Conference Silver Division game to Oak Park-River Forest at home in Week 7.
The loss dropped York to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in WSC Silver action. Oak Park-River Forest became playoff eligible at 5-2 overall and moved to 2-2 in conference play. It was York’s last home game of the season.
The Dukes return to action Friday in Hillside against Proviso West, which brings a 2-5 record into the game.
