Outlook: York hits the road for its season opener. The Dukes, who went 2-7 a year ago, return plenty of experience on both sides of the ball. Grant Melion is a three-year starter at running back, while Zane Heemsoth, a junior, leads the defense out of his linebacker position. New Trier, out of the Central Suburban Conference South Division, went 8-3 a year ago and won the conference with a 5-0 record. New Trier edged York in Week 1 last year in Elmhurst by a 14-10 count.
