Dine-Out with the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Villa Park Library will hold a fundraising dine-out at Back Alley Burger (609 St. Charles Rd., Elmhurst) on Wed., Sept. 6 from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Enjoy delicious American favorites including burgers, fries and shakes. The restaurant will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Friends.

Supporters must mention the cause or show the Dine-Out flyer in person or on their smartphones when ordering. Proceeds will only be donated from the specific location listed above. For more information, visit vppl.info or call 630-834-1164.

Painting Rocks at the Library

Have you heard of the rock painting craze, but don’t know where to start? The Villa Park Public Library will show you how at Painting ROCKS! Children 5 and younger with their adults can attend the session on Thursday, Sept. 7 from 10–11 a.m. Children ages 6 and older can attend the session on Monday, Sept. 11 from 3:45–4:45 p.m. Registration is required. Library offers help for job seekers

Need help writing your résumé or guidance in preparing for a job interview? Attend Résumé Review and Interviewing Strategies at the Villa Park Public Library! Upcoming sessions will be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 6, Oct. 4, Nov. 1, and Dec. 6 from 7:00–8:30 p.m.

The program is designed to help job applicants write résumés that stand out and also learn valuable interviewing strategies. Registration is required. For more information, visit vppl.info or call 630-834-1164.

LEGO® DUPLO for younger children

All children ages 2–5 are invited to come to the library to build, play, and socialize with other kids and families at LEGO® DUPLO® Build + Play.

Sessions will take place at the Villa Park Public Library on Fridays, Sep. 8, Sept. 22, Oct. 13, Oct. 27, Nov. 10, Nov. 24, Dec. 8, and Dec. 22, from 10:00–10:30 a.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
