John E. Tuzak, of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 26. He was the dear son of Tom Jr. and Jean; brother of Renee; grandson of Lena (the late Thomas Sr.) Tuzak and the late Edward (Marcella) Duklewski; nephew of many aunts and uncles; cousin of many. John valiantly strived to overcome addiction and graciously achieved sobriety the last few weeks of his life. John was a handsome and loving son. His passions included playing and writing music, his family and dogs. His music can be heard on YouTube under the band name, “The Addies.” He had a creative mind and a great sense of humor. He was a quiet man of few words, but when he spoke people listened. Memorial Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2017.
