Annual Jaycees Charity Carnival set for Aug. 17-20

The 28th Annual Jaycees Charity Carnival will be held this week from Aug. 17-20 in the same location as prior years, along Park Ave. between Prospect and Myrtle and the Mill Theatre parking lot.

The Carnival has become an important part of summer tradition in Elmhurst.

Special Children’s Day will be held Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m.-12 noon exclusively for children with special or limited abilities and their families. It allows the participants to enjoy the carnival with fewer crowds, no bright lights and less noise. There will also be other activities just for special guests including games, giveaways, goodies and more.

Mega passes will be $60 for unlimited access throughout the carnival. Daily unlimited rides wristbands will be will be available for $25. Individual tickets are $1.25 each or 20 for $20 at the Jaycees booth or in advance (save $10) at the web site: elmhurstjaycees.com. Police Explorers will be at the corners to ensure safe crossing.

Carnival hours are:

Thursday August 17 – 6-10 p.m.

Friday August 18 – 6-11 p.m.

Saturday August 19 —10 a.m.- 12 noon – Special Kids Day

Saturday August 19 — 1-11 p.m.

Sunday August 20 – 12 noon-5 p.m.
