Kathleen “Kathy” Graham, nee Clark, a longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away in her home on July 12, 2017, at the age 68. Loving wife of the late Ian Graham of Kilmarnock, Scotland, they enjoyed 29 very happy years together. Kathy was born April 25, 1949, in Chicago to the late George and Kathleen Clark. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her Aunt Agnes and cousins James Micale and Mary Bucio. Kathy is survived by cousins Carol Klisnick, Suzanne Hoffman and Dinah Joerg, along with family members in Scotland including John McGhee, Jeanette Davidson, Georgia McGill, brother-in-law Raymond Graham, sister-in-law Margaret McLean and many more friends and colleagues.
Kathy graduated from Elmhurst College in 1971 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, where she spent some of the happiest years of her life. She was employed 32 years as a paralegal at Schiff Hardin in Chicago. Kathy had a wonderful love of Scotland, often visiting and shared many good times in Kilmarnock and Glasgow with family and friends. In addition to her love of Scotland, she and her late husband enjoyed many summer getaways in Fish Creek, Door County. She was a lifelong Cub fan, enjoying many happy times at Wrigley Field. Her love of dogs was known by everyone who knew her.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd. Private interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
