Only two more weeks of the Block to Block Party summer concert series presented by the Elmhurst City Centre. Join us on July 19, and July 26, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for free live music in a family friendly environment at the City Centre Plaza and the Elmhurst 255 Plaza at 255 N. York Road.
Bringing a blanket or a chair is encouraged for the Elmhurst 255 Plaza location, as there is a spacious green lawn to watch and enjoy the music.
Rock out and relive the 90s at the City Centre Plaza to My So Called Band, a tribute band of the beloved decade. After years of receiving consistent 90s request while playing as an acoustic trio, lead singer Jessica Moran knew that she wanted to form a group that would specialize in just that and believes the band is unlike other 90s tribute bands.
“We don’t limit ourselves to any specific genre of the 90s, we cover all of it from grunge rock to cheesy pop,” says Moran. “It’s all in there!”
Expect to hear Spice Girls, the groups favorite to cover, and many more of your favorite 90s hits.
Performing at the Elmhurst 255 Plaza is the Owen Stevenson Trio, starring Chicago-based and Indiana University alum Owen Stevenson. Stevenson is an acoustic singer-songwriter and released his original gentle pop/rock album “Right Here And Now” in June of 2016, which has received critical acclaim. He has preformed at premiere venues in Chicago such as the Cubby Bear and the Hard Rock Café.
