The Democratic Party of DuPage County (DPDC) hosts its annual gala Sunday, April 23 from 4-10 p.m. at Carlisle Banquets, at 435 S. Butterfield Rd. in Lombard. The event will feature Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee and the first Muslim elected to Congress Keith Ellison; gubernatorial candidates Chris Kennedy, Ald. Ameya Pawar and J.B. Pritzker; Poland’s Secretary of Solidarity Ewa Zydorek; and other state and congressional elected officials.
Proceeds from the event will support the DPDC’s efforts to elect Democrats at all levels of government. Individual tickets–$150 before April 1 and $175 after April 1–can be purchased at DuPageDemocratsGala.com.
In addition to remarks from the above speakers, the evening will feature a raffle, live music and dancing. The event is supported by several local businesses and unions.
