Morris goes 3-for-4 with two RBI.

The IC Catholic Prep baseball team wrapped up last week with a 7-3 Metro Suburban Conference crossover win against Walther Christian.
The Knights broke up a scoreless tie with three runs in the fourth inning. IC Catholic Prep led 4-3 heading into the bottom of the sixth and then scored three more times in that frame for the final margin.
The Knights had eight hits in the game. Trey Morris was 3-for-4 with two RBI from the leadoff position. Brendan Russ had a hit. Joey Salvi went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Amari Reed had an RBI, while Matt Sutton went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Morris had a double and Sutton had two triples. The Knights also stole seven bases. Morris had three stolen bases, while Austin Reed had two. Sutton and John Hoffman had s wipes one.
CJ West was the winning pitcher. He went six innings and allowed eight hits and no earned runs while striking out three. Hoffman pitched the seventh inning and struck out one. IC Catholic Prep issued no walks in the game.
In earlier action, the Knights dropped a 9-0 Metro Suburban Conference Blue Division game to Illiana Christian. The Knights were no-hit in the game. Illiana Christian’s pitcher struck out 12 and walked one and faced one batter over the minimum.
Russ and Hoffman pitched in the game. Hoffman threw the final three innings.
Illiana also won the second game of the series 11-8 in Lansing. The Knights had 10 hits in the game.
Morris had a hit and a run scored. West was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Austin Reed was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Russ was 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Hoffman had a hit and an RBI. Andrew Falduto had a hit and three RBI. Amari Reed had a hit and a run scored. Griffen Eichhorn had a hit and a run scored. Morris and Russ doubled in the game.
IC Catholic Prep was 8-12 overall through late last week.
