At approximately 1:20 pm on Friday, April 21, 2017, the DuPage County Coroner’s Office was notified by the Elmhurst Police Department of a deceased male subject lying on the bottom of the Elmhurst-Chicago Stone quarry.
Upon our arrival, Elmhurst Police informed this office that their department took a missing and endangered subject report on April 14, 2017. Elmhurst Police had reason to believe that the subject found in the quarry may be that of the missing person.
The DuPage County Coroner’s office transported the body to the DuPage County Morgue for further examination.
On April 23, 2017, a positive identification of the missing subject was made through dental records. The subject has been identified as Justin Anthony 24, of Elmhurst, Illinois.
The cause and manner of death are pending toxicology and autopsy results.
