State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, will host a “Civics 101” community discussion about the legislative process 10 a.m. To 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11, at Funky Java, 30 S. Villa Ave. Complimentary donuts from Kuppie’s will be served.
“When I go door-to-door, I meet people of all ages who are engaged in our community and constantly looking for ways to make life better for their neighbors,” said Conroy. “At my most recent coffee shop event, the people who attended expressed their interest in becoming more involved. Beginning with “Civics 101,” I will host ongoing community conversations to provide an update on what’s happening in Springfield and together we will discuss steps that every citizen can take to make their voice heard through civic engagement.”
