Police Reports

Area Police Departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that subjects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

Addison

Feb. 21

Police said a 26-year-old Schiller Park man was transported to the Addison Police Department for an original warrant for domestic battery.

Feb. 20

A 23-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in the 800 block of College Blvd. at around 10:31 p.m. Police said the suspect choked the victim, pushed her into a pile of toys and bit the victim’s lip.

A 21-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in the 200 block of Hale Street at around 8:36 p.m. Police said the suspect pushed the victim to the floor and struck her in the head numerous times with a bong.

Feb. 19

Pedro J. Lopez, 28, of Addison, was charged with DUI, fraudulent ID, obstructing ID and no valid driver’s license in the 500 block of E. Lake St. at around 10:59 p.m. Police said officers responded to a call of a vehicle that struck a curb. Lopez was located at a gas station and spoke to officers about striking the curb. According to police, Lopez was found to be DUI, driving without a valid driver’s license, providing officers with a false name, and was in possession of a fraudulent identification card. He also had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for DUI, and a second failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for obstructing identification.

Feb. 18

Maria I. De la Cruz-Reyes, 43, of Addison, was charged with endangering the health/life of a child in the 500 block of Stevens Drive at around 9:38 a.m. Police said the suspect left her child home alone.

Feb. 16

Lindsey T. Idle, 30, of Algonquin, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of Meadows Blvd. at around 9:03 p.m.

Villa Park

Feb. 17-Feb. 18

Burglary to a vehicle was reported in the 700 block of N. Villa. Police said that between 10 p.m. Feb. 17 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 18, an unknown suspect stole construction tools from a vehicle parked in a parking lot.

Feb. 17

Roberta Marban, 20, of Northlake, was charged with two counts of battery at an entertainment center at around 10:09 p.m.

Carlos Ramirez-Morales, 22, of Lombard, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid driver’s license and no insurance.

Feb. 16

Mutl Miroslav, 45, of Chicago, was charged with aggravated DUI, aggravated driving while license revoked and no insurance in the 400 block of E. St. Charles at around 8:10 p.m.

Derell Pierce, 30, of Chicago, was charged with possession of an altered credit card at a gas station at around 2:22 a.m.

Feb. 15

Jason P. Crawford, 20, of Villa Park, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia in the 600 block of S. Villa at around 11:51 a.m.

Irving Arredondon, 24, of Chicago, was charged with unlawful delivery of alcoholic liquor to a minor while Rafael Villa-Ruiz, 19, of Villa Park, was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 1600 block of S. Michigan at around 1:01 a.m.

Damage to a vehicle was reported at around 4:45 p.m. Police said the bumper of a vehicle parked in a store parking lot was damaged.

Criminal damage was reported in the 300 block of S. Oakland. Police said that between 1:30 and 8:05 a.m., an unknown suspect threw the head of a golf club through the driver’s side rear window of a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Criminal damage was reported in the 200 block of S. Villa at around 5:30 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect threw or hit a golf ball through a front window.

Feb. 14

Paris A. Govan, 22, of Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft at a store on April 28, 2015. The original complaint and arrest warrant was issued on Feb. 14.

Retail theft was reported at Target at around 9 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect removed a television from the display shelf and left without paying for it.

Feb. 13

Burglary was reported at a car dealership at around 9:12 p.m. Police said unknown suspects entered the business after hours and stole five vehicles.

Feb. 11-Feb. 12

Residential burglary was reported in the 300 block of E. Madison. Police said that between 3 p.m. Feb. 11 and 9 a.m. Feb. 12, an unknown suspect stole new kitchen appliances from a residence while the owners were out of town.

Feb. 11

Criminal damage was reported at a business at around 8:12 p.m. Police said unknown suspects threw bricks and damaged four windows of the business.
