Stop by the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, 220 Cottage Hill Ave., from 1-4 p.m. for Dinosaur Day to learn about fossils with hands-on activities for ages 5 to adult. See and touch real fossils, put together 3-D puzzles of dinosaur bones, and make your very own fossil imprint to take home. Fee: $5 per person. No reservations required. The Elmhurst Garden Club will hold its next monthly membership luncheon at the Wilder Mansion, 211 S. Prospect Ave. at 11:30 a.m. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the regular meeting at 12 noon. At 7 p.m. the AAUW (American Association of University Women) will hold its January meeting at the Elmhurst Public Library. Susan Tripi DeLano, Executive Director of the RE:NEW Project, will be the guest speaker. Free and open to the public. Not an Elmhurst Library program.

Here ye, here ye! Wilder Mansion is hosting its second annual Princess Day from 2-4 p.m. Have your little one dress up as her favorite princess to make a craft, enjoy a treat and listen to a story fit for a royal. The afternoon will conclude with a party on the dance floor. Not a drop-off program. Ages 3-12 welcome. Fee is $18 residents/$22 non-residents. Registration now open. • Currently on display through March 12, the Elmhurst Historical Museum presents “In Her Own Right: Marion Mahony Griffin. More than a talented artist and architect: Griffin was the backbone of the Prairie School of Architecture who brought the work of many more famous architects to life—including her husband, Walter Burley Griffin, and the inimitable genius Frank Lloyd Wright. This biographical exhibit explores her life, her work, and her legacy.
• A support group for family caregivers of older adults meets the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Elmhurst Public Library’s second floor study room. (Not an Elmhurst Library program.) Info: (630) 833-9665.
• The Elmhurst American Legion, T.H.B. Post No. 187, hosts a fish fry every Friday night from 6-8:30 p.m. Ribs available first Friday of the month. Musical entertainment follows.
