Charlie Kern, Junior, an Elmhurst York Duke junior, runs his way to all-state status for the third consecutive year. The junior, who has posted three top 10 finishes in his first three years as a cross country harrier, finished fourth overall with a time of 14 minutes, 12 seconds. The Dukes were 16th as a team. Six state championship races were contested at Detwiller Park and each race was three miles long. There were three boys races and three girls races. Photo by Daniel L.
