FBI seeks suspect in robbery of Wood Dale bank

According to local authorities, the FBI is currently in search of a man wearing a red Indiana University sweatshirt who allegedly robbed a bank in Wood Dale on Thursday, April 28.

The Wood Dale Police Department reportedly received a call about 1:20 p.m. about a bank robbery at the Wood Dale Bank and Trust, 171 E. Irving Park Road, according to a news release.

Officers set up a perimeter around the bank but did not locate the suspect, police said.

Police said the man was described as white/male, early to mid 30s, and about 5’11” or 6’ with a medium build. He has brown eyes. A surveillance photo released by police shows the man wearing a dark scarf with a white design over part of the face and a red Indiana University sweatshirt with the hood up. He also was wearing dark sweatpants. Wood Dale Deputy Police Chief Mike Rivas said the suspect was wearing “grayish-dark shoes.”

No information was provided about the amount of money that was stolen. No weapon was displayed, authorities said. No one was reported injured during the incident.
