Dorothy Mae Kulpaka, nee Antczak, longtime resident of Elmhurst, passed away recently at the age of 91. Beloved wife of Thaddeus “Ted” for almost 70 years; loving mother of Kerry (Cathy), Karen, Bob (Janelle), LuAnn Dockery, Michael (Ann), Bill and the late Dennis Kulpaka. Proud grandmother of Robert, Krissie (Andy) Pedroza, Kathy (Eric) Cundiff, Teresa (Steve) Dubose, Hannah Lehman, Carly Dockery and Holli Kulpaka. Great Grandma “Gigi” to Jocelyn, Andy, Ellie, Gracie, Abby Mae, Cameron, Layla, Will and the late Matthew Cundiff. She also was a dear companion to Sheila Lang, her caretaker for the last five years, as well as proud Mamma to her beloved pup Buddy. Dorothy was selfless and genuine. She was outspoken and kind. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her family strong values that have served them well. She was the founder of the “ILKNAPS.” She loved playing bingo, pulling slots, and banging the pots and pans through the neighborhood on New Year’s Eve. She also was a loyal advocate for the Ray Graham Association. Her favorite memories were spending family time at the River Forest Country Club and the Ocean Reef Club. While we all share a deep sorrow with the loss of our loving and devoted Dorothy, we take comfort in the memories we have of her and the lessons she taught us. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services and Interment are private at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ray Graham Association, 901 Warrenville Rd # 500, Lisle, IL 60532. Arrangements handled by Gibbons Funeral Home, Elmhurst.
