ECAF postpones annual fundraisers for 2020

Offers gratitude to community for continued support

Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation (ECAF) is celebrating 27 years since it was founded in 1993. ECAF’s mission is to provide financial assistance to local families with children whose lives are impacted by serious medical or disabling conditions.

Through the community’s consistent and generous participation, ECAF has been fortunate to offer support to these families each year.

As we reflect on all ECAF has accomplished and the families we have had the privilege to work with, we also want to look ahead to how we can continue providing this critical assistance going forward. The recent global pandemic has created substantial emotional and financial stress and the needs of these families are greater now than they have ever been. ECAF remains committed to supporting our local families in need, to help them get through these difficult times, and flourish in the years to come. If you are a family in need, consider applying for a grant through our website at ecaf4kids.org or contact a board member. This is a confidential process.

Due to the current local and national safety guidelines, the foundation has made the difficult decision to cancel its two major annual fundraising events for 2020, the golf tournament and gala. We look forward to resuming these events in future years.

Our community’s financial needs continue and we welcome any support you can offer. The foundation operates exclusively on a volunteer basis and 100% of all donations go directly to support families in need.

As we prepare for this holiday season, let us all be thankful for what we have and share what we can with those who are less fortunate. Please consider making a donation today at ecaf4kids.org or make checks payable to ECAF and mail to Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation, 154 West Park Avenue, Unit 291, Elmhurst, IL 60126. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. ECAF is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.
