Patricia Joyce Kreibich, of Elmhurst, passed away on August 27, 2020, at the age of 79. Patricia was born November 22, 1940 in Glen Ellyn, to John and Ida Obrecht. She was a sister to two brothers, Kenneth and David Obrecht (who preceded her in death) and a sister Ruth Obrecht of Frederick, Colo. In 1963, she married Donald Kreibich. They move to Elmhurst in 1966 where they lived together for 52 years before Donald’s passing in 2015. Patricia loved teaching young children; she taught all levels from pre-school to second grade. The last 13 years of her teaching career were spent at Emerson School in Elmhurst, teaching kindergarten and first grade. Pat loved traveling and had a big Bucket List. She visited all 50 states and adventured to more than 50 countries on six continents! One of her joys was taking each grandchild on a trip of their choice. She was a loving mother to her children, Debbie (Terry) Karner of South Elgin; and Jay (Debbie Fligor) Kreibich of Monticello, Ill.; and her grandchildren, Bryce Karner, Katelyn Karner, Pierce Kreibich and Lance Fligor.
