The Glenbard East girls and boys cross country teams opened the 2020 season with home meets against Larkin on Saturday, Aug. 29. The Rams held the meets on a 3.0-mile course on the school campus. The races ended on the stadium track. Glenbard East’s cross country programs previously held their home meets at Lombard Park District venues. The Rams posted the six fastest individual times in Saturday’s girls and boys varsity races. Cross country is one of the sports that the IHSA has allowed during the 2020 fall season. The IHSA has moved the seasons of three other traditional fall sports—football, girls volleyball and boys soccer—to the spring of 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
