New COVID-19 community testing center opening in Bensenville

VNA Health Care is opening a new COVID-19 community testing center at St. Alexis Catholic Church, 400 W. Wood Avenue, in Bensenville. Starting Tuesday, July 28, the testing center will offer COVID-19 testing by appointment only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 1:30– 4:30 p.m.

Individuals will be assessed by a VNA doctor or nurse practitioner immediately prior to COVID-19 testing during the same appointment. The facility will be serving all patients regardless of whether or not VNA accepts their insurance plan for COVID-19 services. If a patient does not have insurance, the pre-test specimen, specimen collection and processing will be provided at no cost. “As Mayor, it is important to me that Bensenville residents have access to everything they need in order to maintain their health and safety,” said Village President Frank DeSimone. “I am glad this facility will be opening in our community and that our residents will be able to easily access testing when and if they need it.”
