Boy Scout Troop 202 in Lombard recently held a contactless food drive to benefit the Lombard/Villa Park Food Pantry, which is run by the First United Methodist Church. Scouts dropped off flyers on May 9 detailing what types of donations would benefit the food pantry during this time of need. On May 18, scouts went through neighborhoods where the flyers were dropped off to collect any donations from residents. The volume of donated food was overwhelming, underscoring the generosity and kindness of Lombard residents. In addition to the food donations, the troop is shown here presenting a check for $202 to Larry Hebert, Lombard/Villa Park Food Pantry director of operations (second row, holding up the check).
