Shell station on north York robbed at gunpoint

On Wednesday, May 6, Elmhurst police reported that there had been an armed robbery at about 4 a.m. at the Shell gas station located at 926 N. York.

According to the police report, officers responded to a call about an armed robbery. A complainant related that three suspects entered the store, approached the register, pointed a black semi-automatic pistol at the clerk, jumped the counter, took an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes and fled the scene. An investigation is pending.

SUSPECT #1 was described as a black male wearing a navy blue mechanic style jacket with a white patch on the left breast of the jacket; black or navy blue pants, and a black mask; SUSPECT #2 was a black male, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and a black mask; SUSPECT #3 was also a black male wearing a black jacket with a large Chicago Bulls logo on the front and unknown red logo on the back
