Sophomore Bella Naumovsky (center) of the Willowbrook girls gymnastics team won the first-place medal in the uneven bars competition during the West Suburban Gold Conference Meet, which took place on Feb. 1 in Villa Park. Naumovsky, who is pictured on the awards stand, won the uneven bars title with her score of 9.25. Naumovsky joined the Willowbrook team this season. She did not compete for the Warriors during her freshman year, when she was sidelined by an injury. The Warriors finished second to the Downers Grove co-op team in the team standings of the conference meet. Willowbrook posted a team score of 130.925 in the meet. Up until earlier this month, the Warriors had not reached the 130-point mark in a team meet in 12 years. Saturday’s performance gave Willowbrook its third straight output of at least 130 points. The Warriors reached the 130-point total in their Jan. 23 win over Morton, and in their Jan. 29 victory over Leyden. The Warriors are competing in this week’s IHSA Lake Park Regional in Roselle.
