Winter farmers market in Lombard

First Church of Lombard, UCC (United Church of Christ) hosted an indoor winter farmers market on Sunday, Jan. 19. Local vendors from throughout Chicagoland sold items including produce, bread, pastries, honey and yarn during Sunday’s event at the church, which is located at 220 S. Main St. Lynda Wilson (center) and her daughter Karli (right) are pictured while speaking with one of the market’s vendors—Ellie Hease (left) from The Urban Canopy of Chicago. The Wilsons are Lombard residents and members of First Church of Lombard, UCC. Karli is a senior at Willowbrook High School. Chicago-based Faith in Place partners with several churches to hold indoor farmers markets on weekends from November through April. Two upcoming indoor farmers markets will take place at Glen Ellyn churches. St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, located at 393 Main St., will host an event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26. First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn, located at 535 Forest Ave., will host an indoor farmers market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22. For more information, visit faithinplace.org.
