League to host Candidate Forum

The League of Women Voters of Elmhurst will host a Candidate Forum on Sunday, Jan. 26 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York St.

Contested candidates for the March 17, 2020 General Primary Election have been invited. After answering some League questions, the candidates will be asked to answer questions submitted in writing from those who are in attendance.

This program is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend the whole event or individual pieces. Check the League of Women Voter’s website for actual times of each forum. Those races for which candidates have been invited are:

  • 5th Congressional District Candidates (both parties contested)
  • DuPage County Auditor (both parties contested)
  • DuPage Recorder of Deeds (Republicans contested)
  • 18th Circuit Court Clerk (Democrats contested)
  • Contested candidates for 18th Circuit Court Judge

The League is an issues oriented, volunteer, member-directed organization that neither supports nor opposes candidates or parties. It is committed to open, responsive, and effective government brought about by informed, involved citizens with membership open to both men and women.
