Salt Creek School District 48 held its 2019 Animal Extravaganza recently at Albright Middle School. Villa Park Village Trustee Kevin Patrick, who is a district parent, brought several species to the Oct. 24 event. This photo shows Patrick and some district students with a 17-foot reticulated python. Pictured left to right are Joey Cotterill (a sixth-grader at Albright), Patrick, Kaline Washington (a fourth-grader at the district’s Stella May Swartz School in Oakbrook Terrace) and Aliyanna Quiroz (also a fourth-grader at Stella May Swartz School).
