Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry hosted its inaugural “Art Beats” fall fundraiser on November 6th at the Elmhurst Art Museum. More than 100 guests and sponsors enjoyed a great evening of open galleries, passed hors d’oeuvres and an open bar provided by 151 Kitchen|Bar. The Elmhurst College Jazz Combo provided the evening’s music. Local artists donated pieces for a silent auction and Kai Sison MacNicol did a live painting accompanied by the Elmhurst College Jazz combo that was also auctioned on site. In addition, a “paddle raise” raised needed funds to support milk, hygiene and other necessary items for the pantry.

EYFP’s Fundraising Committee worked hard to organize this event with the help of Executive Director Kathie Watts. All proceeds from the event will go directly to funding pantry operations. “Thank you to the many sponsors and guests that made this event a huge success,” she said. “The up-coming holiday season can stretch pantry resources thin. Events like this will help us support our most needy neighbors during the holidays and beyond.”

Special thanks to the following sponsors: 151 Kitchen Bar. Simplex Systems Controls, Edward Elmhurst Health, Edward Jones (Kevin Kost), Lakeside Bank, Community Bank of Elmhurst, Brennan Photography, DeVries Animal Hospital, Elmhurst Independent, Inland Bank, IRS Trouble Solvers, Mehta Motors, Nancy and Rich Peterson, Storino, Ramello & Durkin Law Of-fices, Terrazzo and Marble Supply Companies and the UPS Store City Centre.
