The Willowbrook High School student section celebrated a “USA Day” theme for the Sept. 13 home football game against Downers Grove South. At the end of their halftime performance, the members of the school’s marching band followed their custom of marching from the field to the student section and playing “Hey Baby.” Drum majors (left to right) Kyle Haake, Siobhan Heneghan and Emma Staunton scaled the fence to lead the band. Willowbrook trailed the visiting Mustangs 9-3 at halftime, but rallied in the second half to earn a 32-15 victory. The Willowbrook band joined about 20 other high school bands to perform with Northwestern University’s band during halftime of the Wildcats’ Sept. 14 football game in Evanston.
