The Villa Park Community Pride Commission held its annual sidewalk chalk event on Sunday outside of Villa Park Village Hall. Children colorfully decorated the sidewalk squares outside of the building. One photo from Sunday shows Villa Park siblings (left to right) William and Molly Borshell, ages 2 and 11. The commission provided chalk, as well as refreshments. The event also included face painting by Wendee Goles, as well as a rock-decorating table. Children decorated rocks that will be placed around the “Welcome to Villa Park” sign along the Illinois Prairie Path on the village’s border with Elmhurst.
