Lombard calling: This story about Frank Robb capturing this alligator in Humboldt Park is a nice, feel good story, but I have to admit I just got tired of hearing about it. All these alligator updates day in and day out, and then he goes and throws out the first pitch at Wrigley Field and turned on Buckingham Fountain the next day. The guy caught an alligator, OK, but he’s treated like some kind of hero. Compare all the attention him and this alligator got on the news to the story about how nine were killed and 32 wounded in shootings that happened in Chicago over the weekend. We really need to get our priorities straight.

Uh, oh. Excessive heat warning this weekend (caller is referring to last weekend). Temperatures in the high 90s and high humidity. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced anything like this before in our lifetimes. Hmm. Must be global warming, oh sorry, climate change.

Just a reminder to drivers who are in a big hurry going nowhere fast that when you pull up to the stop-line at a red traffic light and then begin inching forward over the stop-line and into the pedestrian walkway, the light does not change any faster.

Hey, I’m calling to give the Democrats some credit. They haven’t done a damn thing since taking control of Congress this year, but they voted to condemn Trump for his comments about the four Democratic Congresswomen. Hooray! I guess that’s why they pay these people in Congress six-figure salaries.

To the ladies who are shopping in the Lombard/Villa Park area, there recently have been wallet snatchings within the DuPage and Cook County area. Here’s a little tip. If you put your purse underneath the baby seat in the shopping cart, take the little seat belt and run it through the handles of your purse. Now as you shop, you will secure your purse and it will be safe. And when you get to the checkout as you empty your cart, you will run into your purse just as you need it. This has always worked for me. Thought I would pass it along. Bye.
