Marlene J. Fox, age 90, of Villa Park, died March 27, 2019.

Eleanor Meyer, nee Pulliam, age 79, of Lombard, passed away March 30, 2019.

Duane L. “Bud” Norceen, 90, of Villa Park, passed away on March 28, 2019.

FLORENCE SCOLA
Florence Marie Scola, nee Gatz, age 90, of Lombard, passed away March 26, 2019.
Funeral Services were held Monday, April 1, with prayers from Brust Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church for Mass. Interment followed at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Florence is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Frank; her loving children, Marilyn (Paul) Smiley of Darien, Maureen (Sietze) deWaard of Bartlett, Marla (Dominic) Adorno of Bartlett, Michael of Lombard, and Mark of Lombard; her cherished grandchildren, Tony (Angela) Adorno, Dominic (Lisa) Adorno, Jeni (Anthony) Samaniego, Todd (Angela) Pojman, Drew (Lindsay) deWaard, Corinn (Illya) deTorres; and her dear great-grandchildren, Dakota Samaniego, Logan Samaniego, Isabel Adorno, Joey Adorno, Lucas Pojman, Kenzie Pojman, Joni deTorres; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Florence is preceded in death by parents, Paul and Margaret Gatz, nee Lyons; and her sister, Evelyn Weber.
Florence had been a resident of Lombard since 1953. She was one of the founding members of St. Pius X Church. Florence was a member of the Altar and Rosary Guild and Medical Missions, before and after the church was built. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

JAMES A. SPEAR
James A. Spear, age 96, of Glendale Heights, died March 14. He lived a long full life, passing peacefully in his sleep.
James is survived by 8 children: James M. Spear, Richard A. Spear, Marco M. Spear, Debra L. Spear, Phillip G. Spear, Kim Spear, Daniel J. Spear and Loretta E. Miller; and his brother, Byron G. Spear. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Victoria L. Spear.
He left his home in Iowa when he joined the Navy in WWII, serving alongside many others in the Pacific Theatre. Upon his return from war, Jim settled in Lombard with his wife Loretta (deceased) where they raised their family.
He worked as a machinist before retiring to attend Joliet Junior College to study agriculture, his lifelong dream. He then moved west to a new community where he spent many happy days enjoying his retirement in his new community among new friends.
Funeral Services were held March 19, 2019, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Villa Park. Interment followed at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
