Police Reports

Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Persons charged with domestic battery are not named in order to protect the privacy of victims. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

 

Addison

 

Feb. 19

Police said an officer responded to the Cook County Jail to transport Anthony S. Miller, 21, of Chicago, to be processed on an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for aggravated battery at around 10:40 p.m.

Feb. 18

Victoria M. Tichy, 54, of Itasca, was charged with DUI and endangering the life and/or health of a child in the 100 block of Rohlwing Road at around 7:57 p.m.

 

Villa Park

 

Feb. 16

Mauricio Fernandez-Robles-Gil, 25, of Lombard, was charged with two counts of DUI, speeding and no insurance near St. Charles and Michigan at around 1:07 a.m.

Theft was reported at a local restaurant. Police said an unknown suspect stole a iPhone X.

 

Feb. 15

Theft was reported at a local school. Police said an unknown suspect stole a pair of Apple AirPods that were left unsecured underneath some clothing on the gym floor sometime between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

 

Feb. 14

Joseph W. Grosshauser, 41, of St. Charles, was charged with theft between Sept. 1 and Sept. 5, 2017. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued Feb. 14.

Stefon P. Mitchel, 28, of Wheaton, was charged with retail theft at a local convenience store at around 11:56 p.m.

A 25-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 200 block of S. Villa at around 12:34 a.m.

 

Feb. 13

Theft was reported in the 500 block of S. Yale. Police said an unknown suspect stole a package that was delivered sometime between 11:46 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

A 19-year-old Villa Park woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 300 block of N. Yale at around 10:29 a.m.

 

Feb. 12

Giovanni Brusca, 64, of Wood Dale, was charged with retail theft in two separate incidents at a local store. The first incident occurred at around 12:39 p.m. and the second incident occurred at around 2:52 p.m.

 

Feb. 11

Sarai L. Hanna, 32, of St. Charles, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and being a fugitive from justice while James P. Laloggia, 29, of Carol Stream, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 300 block of N. Ardmore at around 1:10 a.m.

A 34-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 400 block of N. Beverly Dec. 24, 2018. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued Feb. 11.

Retail theft was reported at a local store at around 3:23 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect entered the store, removed an item from display and left with the item without paying.

 

Feb. 10

Richard J. Pikul, 55, of Westchester, was charged with retail theft at a local store on Jan. 15. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued Feb. 10.

Damage to property was reported new Villa and Blackstone at around 8:49 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect knocked down a stop sign at the intersection.
