Rose J. Fenske, age 92, of Lombard, died Feb. 24, 2019.
Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Feb. 28, from 3-8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, with 9:30 a.m. prayers at the funeral home to Christ the King Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment is private.

Richard “Dick” Lee Fox, age 88, of Villa Park, died Feb. 21, 2019, after a short illness.

MELDEN NEUBER
Melden (Mel) William Neuber, 88, of Winfield, former longtime resident of Lombard, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2019.
Mel was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Beverly Neuber. Survived by sons Ricki (Jacqueline), Randy (Nina), granddaughters Julia and Elise Neuber. Uncle to Paul South and Todd and Barry Eggers.
Mel grew up in Galena, and was the only child of Erick and Leona Neuber. In 1951, Mel attended Bayless Business College in Dubuque, Iowa where he earned a degree in Accounting and Business. He went on to work at Tools and Abrasives and then retired from General Motors in Chicago, after 25 years. Mel and his wife Beverly raised their family in Lombard.
They were active members of their church as well as their community. Mel was a dedicated and loving husband and father. Coaching baseball and devoting his life to the happiness of his family. Mel was an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Bears. He also loved animals, the outdoors, gardening, fishing, traveling, golf, bowling and spending time with family and many dear friends.
Mel will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 10 a.m., St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 215 S. Lincoln, Lombard. Private interment will be at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.

Irene A. Plestys, 90, of Elmhurst, passed away on Feb. 16, 2019.

ELEANOR A. ZAJIC
Eleanor A. Zajic, nee Bryja, a lifelong resident of Lombard, died February 19, at the age of 94.
Beloved wife of the late Edward Zajic; loving mother of Diane (Steve) Boger and Darcy (Craig) Lutz; devoted grandmother of Rachel (Mike) Libby, Brian (Emily) Boger, Jeff (Angie) Boger, Kelly (Brian) Cerier.
On May 15, 1948, she married Edward Zajic, and enjoyed 70 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, and keeping a beautiful home.
