Young student scientists, from kindergarten through eighth grade, displayed their science projects at Glenn Westlake Middle School for judging Feb. 23 in the 2019 Lombard School District 44 Science Fair. The projects selected “Best In Show” were (top row, left to right) “What Cup Keeps Your Morning Coffee Warmest?” by third-grader Mica Gonzales, “Doughy Circuits” by fourth-graders Zachary Jones and Rohan Shinde, “What are Other Solar Systems Like?” by kindergartner Logan McIntyre, (bottom row, left to right) “Fingerprint Patterns: Random or Inherited?” by second-graders Raya Alharibat and Jenna Taha, and “Which Paper Airplane Flies the Farthest?” by second-graders Henry Lanaghan and Jaxton Luchtman.
