Artist Sheldon Peck to be celebrated

A kick-off reception by the Lombard Historical Society for its upcoming special exhibit, “Sheldon Peck: Footsteps of His Life,” will be held at the historic Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton on March 14. The event will be hosted by Bob and Caroline Jacobsen and will feature renowned speaker and Peck expert Richard Miller, along with several original Peck folk art portrait paintings. Over a dozen original Peck paintings, on loan from collectors and museums from across the country, will be displayed in the “Sheldon Peck: Footsteps of His Life” exhibit, which opens June 4 and runs through Aug. 31 at the Sheldon Peck Homestead–the home Peck built in 1839 (pictured above). For kick-off reception ticket and exhibit information, visit the Lombard Historical Society website at www.lombardhistory.org or call 630-629-1885.
