Mrs. Olga Jordan, a resident at Bridgeway of Bensenville, turned 104 years old on Tuesday, Nov. 27. She was born in White Plains, New York, in 1914. She moved to Elmhurst with her husband Robert Jordan in 1957. Mr. Jordan passed away in 1962.

According to her daughter, Nancy Jordan Fako, Mrs. Jordan offered lessons as a piano teacher throughout her entire adult life, up until she was 98 years old. She held an Illinois drivers license until age 98 as well.

Mrs. Jordan has two daughters, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She has a keen interest in all kinds of music, often attending performances of the Chicago Symphony, to which her daughter is a former member, and Chicago Lyric Opera, to which her son-in-law is a former member. Two of her adult grandchildren are professional musicians.

A choir member and organist in a number of churches, Mrs. Jordan is often fondly remembered by hundreds of former piano students.

A party was held for Mrs. Jordan on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Bridgeway of Bensenville where she lives.
