Earlier this week, 11 York High School student-athletes were scheduled to sign their national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level next year.
That group included York softball players Julia Derkowski (St. Lawrence University), Katherine Karnatz (Missouri-Kansas City) and Izzy Smith (Northern Illinois).
Lacrosse players included Carolyn Fritsch (Drexel) and Sam Walsh (Merrimack College in Massachusetts).
Girls volleyball players included Sofia Glabus (Gannon University in Pennsylvania) and Jessica Levy (Case Western in Ohio).
Other York signees included baseball players Ryan Ross (Cornell) and Ian Steinorth (North Central), girls cross-country and track standout Sarah May (Grand Valley State) and boys golfer Aidan Mann (Colorado Mesa University).
