Addison and Villa Park Police Reports

Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

 

Addison

 

Nov. 2

Grace A. Hollins, 20, of Naperville, was charged with battery in the 400 block of N. Sixth at around 5:45 a.m. Police said Hollins’ vehicle struck three victims.

 

Nov. 1

Police said an officer responded to the Cicero Police Department to transport Daniel S. Ruggero, 31, of Addison, to the Addison Police

Department, where Ruggero was processed for an original warrant for unlawful possession of a controlled substance at around 11:15 p.m.

 

Oct. 31

Police said that while investigating a traffic stop near Church and Fullerton at around 10:38 p.m., Santos J. Gomez-Nabor, 33, of Addison, provided officers with a false name. Gomez-Nabor was charged with obstructing identification and processed for three outstanding failure to appear warrants.

 

Oct. 30

Clorice L. Kursh, 31, of Elk Grove Village, was charged with theft subsequent to an investigation of a report of deceptive practices in the 800 block of W. Fullerton at around 10:20 p.m.

 

Oct. 27

Dalbir S. Gill, 33, of Elgin, was charged with DUI, transportation of open alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no insurance near Addison and Green Meadows at around 8:51 p.m.

Brandon M. Smith, 30, of Addison, was charged with DUI, speeding and following too closely near Lake and Fifth at around 12:25 a.m.

Villa Park

 

Oct. 27

Samantha A. Barton, 19, of Elmhurst, was issued local adjunctions for unlawful consumption of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a passenger in the vehicle required to wear a seat belt, while Bridget Kelly, 18, of Elmhurst, was issued a local adjunction for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor in the 100 block of W. North at around 12:37 a.m.

A 20-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery in the 300 block of W. School at around 6:17 p.m.

Criminal defacement was reported near Schiller and Villa. Police said an unknown suspect defaced a mailbox using a black marker.

 

Oct. 26

Criminal damage was reported in the 400 block of N. Harvard at around 1:30 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect damaged a vehicle by setting off fireworks next to it while it was parked in the driveway.

 

Oct. 25

Andrea B. Chang, 26, of Batavia, was charged with DUI near Villa and Armitage at around 3:31 p.m.

A male juvenile from Lombard was charged with two counts of battery and resisting arrest at Willowbrook High School at around 7:43 a.m.

Theft was reported at a store at around 3:50 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a cell phone that was left unsecured on a counter.

 

Oct. 24-Oct. 26

Burglary was reported in the 600 block of N. Second. Police said an unknown suspect stole a purse that was left unattended in a vehicle sometime between 3 p.m. Oct. 24 and 1 p.m. Oct. 26.

 

Oct. 24

Michael P. Miarnowski, 43, of Villa Park, was charged with two counts of theft that allegedly occurred in the 1-100 block of W. Terrace on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18, 2017. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued on Oct. 24.

Timothy R. Ott, 59, of Villa Park, was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle/theft that allegedly occurred in the 300 block of N. Ardmore on Oct. 1. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued on Oct. 24.

Theft was reported at Walgreens in the 200 block of E. Roosevelt. Police said an unknown suspect stole a wallet out of a purse that was left momentarily unsecured and unattended while the customer was shopping sometime between 9:30 and 9:56 p.m.

 

Oct. 23

Jonovan Brown, 28, of Villa Park, was charged with a violation of bail bond in the 100 block of E. Maple at around 1 a.m.

 

Oct. 22

Derrall L. Washington, 40, of Chicago, was charged with criminal damage to property in the 900 block of W. North at around 3:10 a.m.

Theft was reported at a store at around 4 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a cell phone that was misplaced in the grocery store.

 

Oct. 21

Theft was reported at a restaurant. Police said two unknown suspects left the restaurant without paying for their meals sometime between 9:32 and 11:28 a.m.

 

Oct. 19-Oct. 20

A 40-year-old Chicago man was charged with two counts of domestic battery, unlawful restraint and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence at a hotel sometime between 11:15 p.m. Oct. 19 and 2:34 a.m. Oct. 20.
