Police Reports

Area police departments recently reported the following arrests and citations. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a conviction, and that suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Juveniles age 17-or-younger are not named.

 

Addison

 

Sept. 20

Police said an officer responded to the Montgomery Police Department to transport Jose J. Martinez, 42, of Montgomery, to be processed on an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for deceptive practice.

 

Sept. 18

Police said Joel A. Sierra, 18, of Franklin Park, was processed on an outstanding Cook County Sheriff’s Department for speeding while investigating a traffic accident near Lincoln and Army Trail at around 2:09 p.m. Sierra was issued a citation for failure to yield.

 

Sept. 16

A 30-year-old Addison man was charged with domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence in the 600 block of N. Lincoln at around 1:56 a.m.

Police said an officer responded to Rohlwing Road and North Avenue at around 11:50 p.m. to pick up a 24-year-old Villa Park man who was arrested by the Glen Ellyn Police Department to be processed on an outstanding original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for domestic battery.

 

Sept. 15

Police said that subsequent to a traffic stop in the 1-100 block of E. Lake at around 9:35 p.m., Santos W. Fabian-Pascual, 19, of Bensenville, a passenger in the vehicle, had a failure to appear warrant out of the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department for DUI.

Police said an officer responded to the Berwyn Police Department to transport and process Lemuel E. Tabor, 53, of Berwyn, on an original warrant out of the Addison Police Department for deceptive practice at around 9:30 p.m.

 

Sept. 14

Anastacio G. Najera, 61, of Maywood, was charged with DUI in the 1400 block of Jeffrey Drive at around 12:43 p.m.

 

Sept. 11

Sebastian Murillo, 18, and Ana G. Vargas, 18, both of Addison, were charged with theft in the 600 block of Lake Manor Drive at around 7:56 a.m. Police said Murillo and Vargas took $2,500 in cash from safe and sound equipment from a residence.

 

Villa Park

Sept. 15

Elizabeth M. Sanchez, 36, of Lombard, was charged with retail theft at a store at around 2:18 p.m.

Myquan J. Williams, 21, of Burbank, was charged with theft of lost or mislaid property in the 300 block of W. St. Charles at around 12:34 a.m.

 

Sept. 14-Sept. 15

A vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of W. Stone. Police said an unknown suspect stole the vehicle that was parked secured in a parking lot sometime between 10:45 p.m. Sept. 14 and 4:30 a.m. Sept. 15. The vehicle was recovered in Chicago.

 

Sept. 14

Sarah M. Cecil, 34, of Lombard, was charged with aggravated driving while license revoked and driving with an expired registration near St. Charles and Westmore at around 1:10 a.m.

Theft was reported in the 700 block of S. Route 83 at around 5:40 p.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a tool box filled with tools that was left unsecured and unattended near the fence on the south side of the building.

 

Sept. 13

A 19-year-old Villa Park man was charged with two counts of domestic battery Sept. 12. The original complaint and arrest warrant were issued on Sept. 13.

Residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of S. Villa. Police said an unknown suspect entered a residence and stole cash and jewelry sometime between 5:30 and 6:15 p.m.

 

Sept. 12

Retail theft was reported at a store at around 5 p.m. Police said an unknown male suspect placed three Dyson vacuums in a shopping cart and left the store with the merchandise without paying.

 

Sept. 10

Matthew Sarch, 25, of Bloomingdale, was charged with retail theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance in the 100 block of W. Roosevelt at around 11:10 a.m.

 

Sept. 9-Sept. 10

Burglary was reported in the 300 block of E. Kenilworth. Police said an unknown suspect entered a vehicle and stole a purse that was left in the back seat in an unsecured vehicle sometime between 1:30 a.m. Sept. 9 and 3 p.m. Sept. 10.

 

Sept. 9

James C. Grillo, 54, of Lombard, was charged with DUI in the 300 block of W. Washington at around 2:18 a.m.

Kelyn J. Oregon, 32, of Addison, was charged with DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in the 100 block of W. Roosevelt at around 8:04 p.m.

Domingo Porcayo, 37, of Chicago, was charged with DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and no insurance in the 700 block of E. North at around 2:07 a.m.

Theft was reported at around 3:45 p.m. Police said unknown suspects stole campaign signs at various locations.

Criminal damage was reported at a school at around 3 a.m. Police said an unknown suspect stole a vehicle and drove into the freshly sodded field by the school, causing the vehicle to get stuck and damaging the field.

 

Sept. 8-Sept. 10

Burglary was reported in the 400 block of W. Division. Police said an unknown suspect entered a vehicle and stole a black safe while the vehicle was parked in the lot sometime between 5 p.m. Sept. 8 and 3 p.m. Sept. 10.
